DMCA notice

SkillHub honours the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown procedure described in 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, please send a written notice to the address below containing the six required elements.

Designated agent

Send your notice by email to [email protected]. Email is the fastest channel. Postal mail is also accepted for users who require a paper trail — reply to the acknowledgement email to request a postal address.

The official takedown flow

  1. Send a complete notice (all six elements below) to [email protected]. Incomplete notices will be returned with a request for the missing information; we do not act on partial notices.
  2. We acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and assign a tracking ID. The acknowledgement is sent to the email address you provided in element 3.
  3. We review the notice against the 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) checklist. If it is facially valid, we soft-delete the affected skill (sets deleted_at on the skills row). The skill disappears from the public API and the web UI on the next request — the row is preserved for FK integrity and audit history.
  4. We notify the source registry (ClawHub, Mavis, etc.) so they can decide whether to also remove the upstream copy. The notification includes the notice, our action, and the tracking ID.
  5. If the affected party believes the takedown was a mistake, they may submit a counter-notice (also under § 512(g)). Counter-notices are reviewed on the same timeline.
  6. We log every action in the internal audit_log table (actor: admin:http, action: skill.soft_delete) and retain the log for at least 3 years.

The 6-element template

Copy the template below into your email. All six elements (1–6) are required by § 512(c)(3); missing any one of them will result in the notice being returned without action.

Counter-notices

If you posted a skill that was soft-deleted under this policy and you believe the takedown was in error, you may submit a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). The counter-notice must contain: (a) your physical/electronic signature, (b) identification of the material and the URL where it appeared before removal, (c) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, (d) your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or any district in which SkillHub may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party. Send counter-notices to the same address: [email protected] address.

Non-DMCA concerns

For takedown requests that are not copyright-related (e.g., malware, personal data exposure, terms-of-service violations of the source registry), use the general contact on the /about page. Those requests are handled under the source registry's own takedown procedure, not the DMCA.
